And it begins....
Today we had to go to the doctor's for Wynter's Turner Syndrome appointment. Wynter only weight 23 lbs, surprise surprise there, so he decided it was time for the growth hormone shots. After sitting around in his office waiting on him to do the prescription we headed to the pharmacy. Holy Cow! I swear everyone was there waiting to get their prescriptions. It took F-O-R-E-V-E-R! We finally got the stuff and then went to the nurses station to learn how to mix the two medicines and then give them to her. Barry and I both practiced how to mix the medicines them put them in the shot, etc. At the end, I gave her the shot since she had to start it today and I would be the one doing it mostly. After all that, 2-3 hours later we headed to get something to eat and get on our way home! It was a very long day. We left at 8:00am because Liliana had some labs to do and then just got home at 8:30pm! It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but I held her legs between mine while she was laying down so she didn't kick and he held her arms so not sure how I am going to hold her, "pinch" her fatty skin up and give her the shot. I have until Saturday morning to figure that out when he goes TDY. She didn't cry, just jumped. She was probably shocked that I was giving her the shot!
